2360: Battle for Cydonia by Brisk Mobile Incis straight up addicting fun! I can’t believe how much the iPhone and iPod Touch systems are revolutionizing the gaming experience! Time an time again I get blown away by the wide range of quality apps of all categories available to us now to enjoy in the palm of our hands. Enough praise of the iPhone alone though….what I’m getting at is 2360: Battle for Cydonia is another home run hit iPhone app game. From the story line to the game-play, Battle for Cydonia keeps you involved and interested from the start.
The story line in 2360: Battle for Cydonia, is based off of a concept similar to the popular Arnold Schwarzenegger movie Total Recall. In it you are part of a rebellion fighting to claim their fair share of the Mars colonization. There are 21 missions, some of which are quite lengthy and challenging. The missions themselves offer a fair amount of diversity. Some are more the run-of-the-mill collect this object, destroy this target– while others also include escort and base-defence as well as a few others to keep things interesting. Throughout the game you’ll need to invest in upgrades for your Mech both to help improve you’re armor and weaponry.
2360: Battle for Cydonia differentiates itself from similar games with its unique use of the iPhone’s multi-touch feature, both allowing you to navigate the battlefield and shoot weapons at enemies from different directions all at the same time. You direct your Mech by dragging your finger around and fire your weapons by tapping on enemies. Allowing the user to navigate the Mech by dragging paths frees you to fully concentrate on what’s important; blowing up aliens of course.

This game is great great graphics and great variety of weapons but it can get pretty tricky at times
