Ever wonder how normal you really are? Whether your the type that strives to fit in or the type that rejects the status quo, now there’s a convenient way for you to find out where you stand compared to the rest of the U.S. With the new Am I Normal? app you can find out where you fit on a wide variety of topics including love & sex, beliefs & fears, personal habits, work & play, health, and travel. So no matter how much you think you’re part of the norm or the exception to, you can find out the truth with just a few touches on your iPhone or iPod Touch.

Am I Normal?, created by DailyDreamers LLC, is an entertainment app full of interesting and not-so interesting facts. It basically works much like a multiple choice exam. You can shake your iPhone or iPod Touch, press the random button, or select a topic from the main menu to generate a question. From there you just answer yes or no to the question and then just like that you see where you fall. If your answer matches with 51% or more of the population then you’re normal. It’s that simple. Am I Normal? is perfect for those long boring days at work, endless rides on the train, and group settings where you and your friends can have a good time making fun of each other.

I reviewed version 1.0 of Am I Normal? for this review, and overall I found some of the topics and questions to be rather interesting and others to be rather blah. The depth of facts and figures is pretty cool, although I definitely think there should be more. When you’re using the app in random mode it feels like there are lots and lots of questions, but when you select by topic, it only takes a few minutes to rattle through all of them. I think if the app intends to remain a paid app then it needs to be beefed up quite a bit. In addition to expanding the number of topics and questions, It’d be great if this app provided some sort of interactive and social media centric features. For example, it’d be great if users could create their own topics and questions that other app users can answer and share with friends via Facebook and Twitter. This would make the app more engaging, and would encourage people to continue to use it on an ongoing basis. The way this app is currently I feel like the entertainment value is limited, and people will likely use it once or twice but not too much more than that.
