Animal Soundfarm

Are you a fan of the classic board game ‘Memory’?  Interested in a new, fun way to test Juniors smarts?  If so the new iPhone and iPod Touch Game app Animal Soundfarm by Sixmore could be the answer.

What is Animal Soundfarm?  Animal Soundfarm is a special child edition of the popular MEMODY game, with new funny graphics, a memory game (pairs) and a funny animal soundboard included.  Memody is memory* with a twist, with sounds instead of cards.  Match two of every sound on the board and you win. You can play it either alone or with others (multiplayer).

My first impression of Animal Soundfarm was that it’s a great concept.  Not only can you play the classic game of memory, by matching images but you can also play the new memody game by matching sounds.  You tie in the fun graphics, sounds and solid quick gameplay and you have a nice app.  Let your children try it out.  They’ll enjoy the funny graphics and sounds, and like being able to interact with it.  It’s true that memory games are great for stimulating young minds, and being able to incorporate this into an easily accessible app is all the better for times that you’re on the go.

Given that this is tailored towards children I can’t say there’s anything wrong with this app.  Some wish-list items would include:

• More animals, sounds and difficulty levels.
• Be able to compare scores against other users. Collect children’s ages and scores and see where your child compares against others in his or her age group would be interesting to see.
