On first glance, Boost Your Reactions gives the impression of a professionally done medical app meant for physiotherapy or even for sports physicians to track the reaction speeds of top athletes. However, this is not the case as Boost Your Reactions is but a game targeted at anyone and everyone with the intention of testing the reaction limits of his or her body.
When the app starts Boost Your Reactions asks users for their age and gender, perhaps to tailor make a program specifically for that age group. This is one feature that adds bonus points to the app.
There are two different game modes, a Self Test and a Training mode for practice. While essentially the same thing with identical features and all, both modes come with an array of options on how users would like to take the test. Different options churn out different types of stages for players.
A library option is also available, redirecting users to the developers’ website where they may learn about how the brain and its reactions work.
An in-app store is also available for future updates and upgrades that may be made available for purchase.
In terms of presentation, Boost Your Reactions does a great job in a sense that while sophisticated it does not look cluttered. Navigation is a breeze, with the necessary buttons placed prominently in their respective places without being blocked by unsightly banners amongst other things.
For $0.99 this is one app that is worth the dollar. There really is nothing to complain about for this app, because it serves its intended purpose so well.
