Brutal Frogs – Gadnell & Associates
The difficulty of the game lies in getting your trajectories right because there are no trailers like you see in the Angry Birds franchise so adjusting the angle is left to memory. As with Angry Birds there are some cool options for hurling objects so be sure to mess around with the launch mechanics.
Much like the Angry Birds games, Brutal Frogs provides players with a variety of frogs to use as ammunition. The usual features such as detonate on tap and self detonation are inherent. Others come with perks like a parachute to float down onto the target. One angry frog can even anchor itself to thin air and swing in like a boom-a-rang to hit its prey. We wouldn’t recommend you try this at home!
As with any of these types of games it is best to wait for the right moment to detonate thereby inflicting maximum damage. Once you kill the birds you get to move on to the next.
Set in a swamp, the backdrop and layout of Brutal Frogs levels remind one of a dystopian wasteland, something extremely dark and mysterious. Perhaps the developers were intending for this apps scenery to set it apart, if so they made a major faux pas in not extending the background canvas as the frogs are routinely jettisoned off the game board into the abyss of blank background.
Another gripe about Brutal Frogs would be the lack of clear and concise instructions. While a help button is available, instructions are presented in simple images that do not explain much, which defeats the purpose of having instructions in the first place. Moreover, although the icons are shaped according to their functions, it takes a while to figure out what they do and we personally would have preferred if the developers had text labels for them instead.
Don’t get us wrong, for $0.99 Brutal Frogs is definitely worth the cost of the download from the iTunes App Store we just suggest you stick it out for a few levels so the challenges are more delectable. Made to play as iPhone apps, Ipod apps or ipad apps so it really does not matter which device you own either way this game could be a huge hit in a couple more generations so get in early.

Brutal Frogs – Gadnell & Associates
Rating: 3/5 as iPhone games go but this apps got good backing and future versions will surely improve the ratings like other apps from its developer have.
