Developed by Dobsoft Studios Bull Stampede is a new game app available for the iPhone and iPod Touch which offers gamers a fun new take on the endurance gameplay genre. In it players assume the role of the world’s greatest matador, tasked with luring an out-of-control stampede away from civilization, while saving the damsel in distress.
The general theme of Bull Stampede consists of dodging an oncoming herd of Bulls by moving your Matador up and down via the touch screen control. As the game progresses the speed of the bulls increases, adding to the difficulty. Also along the way damsels in distress will come along which will need to be rescued by simply running into them in the same manner in which you are dodging the Bulls. With every Damsel you save you gain more power in your Macho Meter. Once your Macho meter is full the gameplay literally turns on it’s head. Now the matador has the strength to meet the Bulls head on in their stampede and knock away as many as possible while time allows. While in Macho mode you aquire points with each bull you hit and you lower the game speed level. In the end you want to last as long as possible and acquire as many points to reach the tops of the global leader-board.
Features:
My thoughts on Bull Stampede are that it is a good pick-up-and-play game to have on your iPhone. The gameplay is very quick and easy, and with the increasing speed as you progress the difficult level increases as well. Also it does have an addictive quality to it, which draws you back in time and time again to try to make it just a little longer then the time before. That being said some drawbacks include very basic graphics, though highly detailed graphics aren’t necessary for this game, and lastly the game will get repetitive after a short time. It’s great for little bursts of time killing iPhone pleasure, but that’s about it. I believe with some increases to in-game options and maneuverability as well as additional levels Bull Stampede could climb up to next level in entertainment.
