Whoah!  If you’re a fan of the hit Fox television show Glee you’re literally going to lose your &*^% with this app!  Glee, the latest release by the iPhone music app gods at Sonic Mule Inc. (Smule) is smoking hot!  It comes with extremely impressive pitch correction and harmonization technology that makes a single person sound like three singing in perfect harmony, allows multiple people to sing together (both in person or over the Internet), and makes even the most tone deaf individual sound like a member of the cast.  The bar previously set by Smule’s immensely popular I Am T-Pain app has officially been raised!

It’s literally sickening to hear how well the Glee app performs.  Glee’s pitch correction technology is very responsive and crisp, especially when using a real microphone.  Since the show Glee is all about harmony, it’s the harmonization technology that really makes the app “sing”.  Even the most lonely person sounds like they’re singing in perfect harmony with their bestest of friends.  It really is an awesome touch.  Every time you sing you can record, share, and broadcast your jams.  Other listeners in the Gleekosphere can listen in, write comments, and if they’re feeling you they can “gleek” you.

Of all of the sweet technological features included in the Glee app my hands down favorite is the communal aspect of the app.  Using the “Join” feature you can literally invite, and be invited to join in and sing along with other gleeks anywhere in the globe.  How sick is that!  From the app you can find and make friends (singing buddies), you can invite and sing with friends via Facebook, you can even form online singing groups, bringing an all new meaning to term glee club!

Glee literally provides endless hours of fun.  You can sing solo harmonies to your hearts content, listen to other people from all over the globe sing their favs, join gleeks anywhere in the world to create the ultimate jam, and can get your friends together to show off your stuff!  Literally, the sky is the limit with this app.  Included with the purchase price is the ability to sing A Cappella, or to sing along with three premium songs (Rehab, Somebody To Love, and You Keep Me Hanging On”, with the option to as many as seven more premium songs (look for this number to continue to increase).  If you decide to broadcast your songs, which of course you will, they’ll be accessible for others to hear within the app, online on the official Glee app website, and on Twitter (search for #gleeapp).
