Heat Pad by Padalabs simulates a heat-sensitive surface that reacts to your body heat. Simply touch the face of your iPhone to generate a depth of seemingly heat sensitive color. Trace your fingers around the screen to create your own personal works of art. Enjoy it while you can though because the color fades quickly, giving you the impression of true heat sensitivity.

Heat Pad has 9 different surface styles to choose from:

Heat: Regular heat-sensitive surface
Flame: Fire at your fingertips
Fantasy: Let the moving patterns hypnotize you
Sky: Relaxing clouds at your fingertips
Metal: Shiny chrome reflections
Spirit: Bending the Laws of Physics, really hypnotic
Blur: Blurry shapes with depth of field effect
Glow: Radioactive glowing surface
Islands: Create your own archipelago

Each surface provides a slightly different reaction. In addition to colors and reactions, you can also adjust the touch sensitivity, and the length of time the color stays on the screen without fading away. If you want to get rid of what you’ve done, all you need to do is shake your iPhone and it disappears instantly.

Overall Heat Pad works as advertised. We’d like to see them add in some more options. More specifically they need to add the option for color to remain on the screen and not fade away. They should also consider adding a gallery feature where users can save and share their creative masterpieces.
