iMatchSticks

Post Rating

iMatchSticks by ADGDM is a logical puzzle game in which you’re tasked with strategically maneuvering matchsticks into new shapes or combinations using only a limited number of moves.  There are 10 tricky levels and 5 bonus levels that are sure to cramp your brain and test every last nerve in your body.  In order to unveil new levels you must pass the previous one.  Complete two levels in a row to unlock a bonus level.  There are no clues as to how to complete each task, so you’re forced to put your brain cells to work in order to advance in the game.

iMatchSticks iPhone App ReviewOverall iMatchSticks appears to have been put together well.  The imagery is clean, the navigation is intuitive and smooth, and the sounds fit the game well.  The puzzles within the game are challenging so it’s unlikely that you’ll breeze through the game in one sitting and feel as if you were gypped.  The biggest knock that we have against iMatchSticks is that it might be too hard for the average user to enjoy.  We found it quite challenging to advance past Level 1.  Being that there are no clues, we feel it’s highly likely that many users will find it’s difficulty frustrating and confusing, and will probably give up on the app after playing it only one or two times.

If a few updates are made to iMatchSticks it would instantly garner a higher SlapApp.com rating.  We’d like to see them institute either clues into the game and/or introduce several more levels, including levels that are less difficult to figure out so users have a chance to become more familiar with the game before they decide whether or not they like it.  As it stands today, iMatchSticks is likely to be too difficult for the average user.  However, if you think you’re smart enough to take it on, go download iMatchsticks from the App Store today.
