We’re all guilty of it. Having little strange habits that may or may not be normal, but regardless we still do them. Now with the Is It Normal? app you can find out once and for all if what you do is normal, or if you’re a complete weirdo! With Is It Normal? you can ask a question (create a topic) and others can weigh in on whether it’s normal or not. Along with voting Yes/No users can type in a comment. So if you happen to share the same weird habit as someone else, they can help you feel at ease and share details about how they do the same quirky thing you do!
Is It Normal? is an extension of the already popular Is It Normal website, so it includes a seemingly endless list of topics for which you can add to or participate. There’s essentially no limit to what you can ask this app. When you open the app it displays all of the newest topics. There’s a refresh button so you can constantly view the latest and greatest topics posted. You can also use the Browse tab to find topics that better relate to you. You can browse by lists such as Recently Commented On, Best Of, Funny, Interesting, and by categories such as Aging, Appearance & Clothing, Art, Drugs & Alcohol, Family, Feelings, Food, School, and many more. If browsing isn’t your style you can choose for the app to display topics randomly. Any topic you find particularly interesting you can flag as a favorite for easy return viewing. Long story short, Is It Normal? allows you to leave no quirky habit stone unturned!
The best way I can describe the Is It Normal? app is that it’s a forum for all things personal. It’s a place where people with rough family lives can share and hear stories from others experiencing the same, it’s a place where goofy techno nerds can share their strange and obscure internet and computer habits, heck it’s a place where anyone can reveal and share their innermost desires and secrets. The underlying purpose is for you to find out if it’s normal or not, but I think it actually goes much further than that since you have the ability to provide comments and share similar stories.
Overall the app functions well. The topics range anywhere from completely normal to obscure and bizarre. As with any online forum-like environment there’s a healthy mix of honest user feedback and completely made up and sarcastic feedback. I’m not certain if Is It Normal? really can, in all cases, answer whether or not what you do is normal, but what it definitely can do is provide some entertainment for you along the way. If you post a topic look to receive a healthy dose of votes and comments that are both warming and negative. What you put up is fair game so depending on what topic you choose to write about you’ll likely receive different styles of feedback. Overall Is It Normal? is essentially mobile access to the Is It Normal website. It’s not really offering you anything different than the website offers, however having mobile access is a million times more convenient than having to be chained to a computer.
I’d say if you liked “hot or not” back in the day, and find yourself frequently commenting on blogs, Facebook posts, and articles, then you’ll probably like Is It Normal? I’d say it’s worth the $0.99 price, but in my opinion it’d definitely reach more people if it was free. For future updates I’d love to see Facebook and Twitter integration. It’d be interesting to be able to share whacky posts and topics with friends and tweeps.

Looks like a great site, Udi – now all of us weirdos will have a place where we can meet and feel normal.
