Lost Mummy is no Temple Run

Post Rating

No this isn’t a Temple Run App remake, it doesn’t even require a chase sequence like you see in the Temple Run App and there are no Crazy Birds flying through the air in hopes of demolishing something including themselves. But this IOS app has a lost mummy, who knows why it is lost? Maybe its bandages are too tight so its sense of sight, smell and sound (albeit from beyond) have been greatly diminished. Who cares either?

The truth is it doesn’t even matter. What really matters is if the Lost Mummygame app is cool to play on your Iphone, Ipod or iPad.

The objective of Lost Mummy is to get the mummified corpse back into his coffin. Of course, the fun is trying to navigate the mummy past all of the obstacles in the process.  To aid in your quest, you are given a select number of spherical objects per round. Jump on them 3 times and they will detonate, destroying or at least moving the crates so that you can cross over to the other world.

Thankfully the in app controls are simple enough to understand. Left and right arrows lead you in the respective directions, whereas a jump button obviously allows you to jump. However, do note that the mummy you control cannot jump high, which means you will have to push and jump on objects to get past stages.
Graphics are nothing worth boasting about. While not quite cartoonish, Lost Mummy uses the type of faux 3D graphics commonly found in online flash games.

The Lost Mummy app game is just your typical old school side-scrolling platform game and is available in the apple iTunes store for $0.99

Pros:

• Gameplay is simple to understand and learn.
Cons:
• Tutorial/Instructions are not clear and hard to understand.
• Game not quite innovative or original.
