No Freakin’ Way

Post Rating

New to the iPhone card trick market is an app that’ll leave people saying No Freakin’ Way!  No Freakin’ Way cleverly disguises itself in plain view of your audience, so the average onlooker is mystified as to what’s really going on in front of them.  As far as they know you’ve told them that you’ve got an iPhone app called No Freakin’ Way that’ll pull whatever card they choose just by reading their body’s energy.  If they choose the 4 of clubs and then press their thumb on the screen, the app vibrates, puts on a show, flips through the deck of cards, and shows the 4 of clubs.  It’s only natural that people’s first reaction is to say NO FREAKIN’ WAY!

So, how does it work?  Well, Mojo Software, did an excellent job masking what would otherwise be the obvious.  Using the the innocence of the iPhone’s home screen they cleverly disguised the inner operations of the illusion.  Prior to beginning the trick you must preemptively open No Freakin’ Way and press the start button.  This opens a false iPhone home screen that allows you to execute the trick.  Now, ask your audience to pick a card.  You can have them say it out loud, write it down, or have them pick from a deck of playing cards.  The first 13 app icons on the false iPhone home page represent a playing card.  Starting at the top left of the page and working right the icons represent Ace-2-3-4, etc. all the way to Joker.

To execute the trick you must inconspicuously touch the icon that represents the card your audience has chosen while swiping your finger across the screen to give the illusion that you’re searching for the No Freakin’ Way app.  A second page of app icons represents the suit of the card.  The icons are laid out from left to right in CHaSeD order (Clubs, Hearts, Spades, Diamonds).  Again, non-chalontly touch the app icon that represents the suite of your audiences card while swiping your finger across the screen.  Now you’ll see the icon for the No Freakin’ Way app.  Just hand your iPhone to your audience and ask them to open No Freakin’ Way.  From there they will be prompted to touch their thumb on the screen.  Giving an electrical show, the app gives the illusion that it’s absorbing your audiences thoughts in order to read their mind and pick the correct card.  Within moments the app starts flipping through a deck of cards and displays the exact card your audience chose, leaving them awestruck.

Key Features of No Freakin’ Way:

  • Everything is done right in front of the audience
  • A Simple swipe of a finger inconspicuously sets up the trick
  • Swiping the fourth row of app icons allows you to stealthfully go back if you’ve made a mistake
  • The magic happens with your iPhone in the audience’s hand

Overall, No Freakin’ Way delivers.  The app works well, and definitely confuses even the most observant onlooker.  As for any magic trick, we recommend you practice this quite a bit before you attempt to try it on anyone.  Your audiences reaction will weigh heavily on your showmanship and ability to execute the trick flawlessly.  Make sure you’ve got it down before you expose the power!  If you’ve been looking for a magic trick style app for your iPhone or iPod Touch then No Freakin’ Way is worth checking out.
