Here’s one for those long nights at chalets, or sleepovers at a friend’s place. If you are tired of the cliché truth or dare games, then here’s something that might appeal to you and your friends.

A multiplayer game, Quiz15 cannot be played alone. Intended for a minimum of 2 and up to 5 players, the objective of Quiz15 is as per the game title suggests. Players slog it out in quiz matches, with each match lasting 15 question. However, a cool twist to the game is that not only does Quiz15 test your knowledge, but your reaction time as well.

In each round, every player places his or her finger on a personalized blip. The question for said round will flash, followed by a plethora of answers. However, take note that most of the answers are false, and that players have to lift their fingers the moment the correct answer flashes by. Not only does this require each player to have a very strong foundation in trivial knowledge, but also quick reflexes to be the first person to lift his or her finger in time, making full use of the multi-touch system of iOS devices indeed.

Different combinations of subjects are available to test you and your friends. Topics range from art and literature, to geography and even sports. However, the app by default is limited in the amount of questions available, and will start to get stale after a while. Be it the free version of the app or the paid version, Quiz15 Gold, players will have to turn to in-app purchases to get new questions for their games.

In terms of design, Quiz15 has nothing to neither rave nor rant about. Keeping with a simplistic, no nonsense design common in many casual games, Quiz15 does its job without having to dazzle your eyes with bright and distracting graphics.

All in all, Quiz15 is one app that will provide some decent entertainment during late night get-togethers. While the questions tend to get repetitive after many rounds, I doubt you will be playing this game that often for this to happen.

• A variety of questions sorted into different topics makes for an enjoyable experience.
