Sneezies by Retro Dreamer, is a cute, bubbly, and addictive game for kids! In this game there are cute and cuddly sneezies floating around the screen in bubbles. The object of the game is to burst as many bubbles as possible by sprinkling sneezing powder to set off a chain reaction of bubble bursting sneezes. The more bubbles that pop and sneezies you save, the more points you earn and the further in the game you can go.
There are two main game modes, Classic and Challenge. In Classic mode you’re provided with 45 levels of sneezies saving fun. Each level presents you with a target number of sneezies that you need to rescue in order to advance to the next level (ex. 85/100). The first handful of levels are very easy to complete, but as you approach levels 18 and up it starts to require more strategy. You only get one opportunity to sprinkle the sneezing powder so you’ve got to pick the just the right time and place to sprinkle or you won’t rescue enough sneezies to move on.
In Challenge mode you have five opportunities to sprinkle sneezing powder, and to advance you’ve got to reach a total number of sneezies rescued (ex. 250). There are 15 levels to play, each one starting with just a few floating sneezies, but for each sprinkle of powder you unleash the number of sneezies multiply exponentially. To succeed you’ve got to maximize your sneezing powder to the best of your ability. It’s an absolute must that you rescue as many sneezies as possible with every sprinkle or you won’t go very far.
Overall Sneezies is a really great game for kids, but is also appealing enough for adults. It’s super easy to pick up. All you have to do is touch the screen with your finger to play. Don’t let the simplicity of the game-play fool you though. I’ve only made it to level 22 of 45 so far. It’s no cake walk. Everything about Sneezies, from its colors, characters, game-play, sounds, etc. are all great. When a bubble bursts it lets off an explosion of color, so when you get a lot of bubbles bursting at once it looks like a new years fireworks show on your iPhone. One of the features that I haven’t touched on yet, but really like is the ability to load songs from your iPod into the game so you can listen to your favorite tunes while playing. Nothings better than jamming out to your own tunes when you want to.
All-in-all Sneezies is definitely worth the download. If you’ve got kids that you’d like to keep entertained then this is a good app to have, but also, don’t be surprised if you end up playing it more than them. Once you start it’s pretty hard to stop. There’s a free Sneezies Lite version available if you’d like to try out a slimmed down version of the real thing. It’ll give you a little taste of what the full game has to offer.
