The Water Drops Battle App Review for OSW Group

Post Rating

Pinball fans fall in. Not your conventional pin ball game, The Water Drops Battle merges aspects of conventional pin ball as well as ideas borrowed from Brick Breaker into one simplistic but yet addictive game.

Screen Shot | How To Play | In App Tutorial

In The Water Drops Battle, players drop beads (water droplets in this case) from above where the bead falls and collides with dozens of other beads, gaining points in the process much like in traditional pinball games. However, these droplets dissolve on contact, thus resembling brick breaker games and adding an additional level of difficulty to the game. In each level, players are given a set amount of beads to drop and have to hit a minimum amount of points before being able to progress to the next stage. A moving vat appears at the bottom, and if a bead drops into the vat then players are rewarded with a bonus droplet to score more points with.

The Water Drops Battle offers a large variety of levels, each one differing greatly from the others. In some levels, wormholes that transport your water droplet from one end to the other appear. In other levels, you get rinks and basins made of ice that can score you additional points. It is up to the creativity of players to use these obstacles to their advantage, and in turn score more points to move on to the next stage. Stars are given at the end of each level as a representation on how well players fared.

Throughout the game, coins are littered across stages for players to collect. Players can then use these coins to unlock perks and bonuses to aid in their adventure. More coins can be obtained through in-app purchases, and the game should be applauded for not enforcing the purchases through annoying ways such as pop up ads after each round. As a free app, this is definitely worth the purchase and will see one through countless hours of mindless fun.

Pros:

  • Simple to understand and master. No complicated learning curve.
  • Combines the best aspects of two popular and simple game genres.
  • Offers a variety of levels, so the game does not get stale quickly.
  • Some minor unique features such as water vat and ice platforms.

Cons:

  • Certain levels are extremely difficult (still possible) to beat without add-ons.

Rating: 4/5
